Crazed Brera and ice on doors!

I bet it happened to all of you guys who have frameless doors: ice forming on the lower seal and blocking the window, so that when opening the door the glass won't actually come down and let u open the door!
Is it another bit of Alfa brainfart engineering or u have had similar experiences with other cars? And above all, do u have a trick to avoid the issue?? I poured some tap warm water on the seal and that did the trick, some friends suggested a hairdryer (LOL), but I guess there must be another solution (yes, keeping the window seal clean of snow/ice/water, I know...).
I'm just not used to this rigid climate!
Gosh, imagine what a horror-like situation would be if you had to dash in your car and run for your life!!

silicone based rubber lubricant - a light spray around the rubber, then work it in - worked on my MX5 through many bad winters.

No, not just Alfas. My old Audi TT and BMW rag top were just the same.

same problem on my GTV and mx5. a bit of vaseline on the rubber seals the night before usually does the trick but doesn't half make a mess. silicon spray also helps a little.

I find keeping the car in a garage is the best solution Problem is I don't have one so I am in the same boat as you guys with my GT

We need to start a winter FAQ section I think

Either that or teach people to use the search facility
