159 JTDm -- any opinions?

Have posted a couple of times here on going from my 156 JTD to a 1.8 petrol but general consensus was to wait for the diesel. Am buying a 159 JTDm 16v (2006). Had a drive etc, seems a lovely car. Have heard the Satnav sucks (don't use much anyway) but if anyone has any nice words of encouragement (soft words of warning) would be good.

I've got a 1.9 JTDm Ti and totally love it. There are some posts on here about it needing a remap to get the best out of it, but even stock standard, its quick enough for me.
159's just look the b0ll0cks - congrats on the decision being made

You'll love it mate, i don't know what it is but th 159 is the kind of car that you could very easily forgive anything!!! Such a looker and my wife even mentioned today she feels like she is part of the car when driving, that must say a lot as she never has anything good to say about anything let alone a car!!!

Thumbs Up 159 jtdm---any opinions?

I'm sure you'll enjoy it I had mine in august and will use any excuse to go for a drive however trivial, yes there are a few minor niggles and dislikes ( see the likes/dislikes thread ) but when your car makes you smile as wide as a cheshire cat every time you go out in it, they are overlooked the 155 bhp is plenty to get you into and out of trouble, superb comfort, loaded with toys, extremely pleasing to look at, very pleasing to drive:-
after 18 years of Fords I am loving it (much more than I expected) am sure you will too. you made a great choice!!

wanted to put something insightful, witty and prosaic on here

but no-one would believe i'd say something that intelligent!

Forgive the edit but I thought what you had posted was slightly inaccurate It's a great car. Also look for the "how much out of 10" thread.
