Alan, thank you for your message.
I already bought the registered version when it first came out. And I already used it to reset the service interval and oil change message. All working great, including the DPF regen function but I`m using the ELM327 cable for that because its not working with the KKL cable for me.
Like I said before, I do the maintenance on the 159 myself because the dealers here in Holland will never become cheap, they rater go bankrupt then drop there prices
I do had a serious problem with the car, it keep overheating. I changed waterpomp and thermostat, but problem stayed. There was always pressure in the coolant reservoir, so I thougt it was a defective headgasket. But when I took the cilinderhead off, headgasket looked OK but cilinderhead had six cracks in it
I bought the car 2 months earlyer and bought it without warranty because 6 months warranty was an €1500 extra costs, and thought "what can go wrong on a JTD engine"
. Now it was € 1450 on new head, bolts gaskets, valves, and took me and my father 3 days to repair, but still saved € 50,-
So much for the bad luck. I also got the EGR disabled in the software and locked the swirl valves (butterflies) in the inlet manifold in the open position. It was already chiptuned by "squadra-tuning" (AR tuning specialist her in Holland) and now its perfectly running (famous last words).
Hope you will get that aircon rattle sorted out!
