SW - Juddering rear wiper

Apart from the obvious o.e replacement, does anyone have experience of a better option?

Give the rear window a good clean, then rub with newspaper - should remove any oily/greasy residue and hopefully make the wiper run more smothly across the glass. :-)

replace the wiper blade ... Mine does the juddering thing, and Im getting a new blade on Sat. My front blades did the same fitted new ones ... now silent and clean nicely. The car is about 12 months old so not surprised.

as above, ensure the glass is clean. run your palm over the surface - is it perfectly smooth, or is it almost like sand paper. if there's any crud stuck on it, you should detail it with a 'clay bar' (detailing product for this purpose).

you can also try and rejuvenate the wiper rubber with various products, like 303 Aerospace.
303 Products, Inc.: 303 Aerospace Protectant

but indeed, sometimes a replacement wiper is the only option.
