3rd year warranty claim

As there is no alfa dealer in Aberdeen, it has taken me a long time to find the time to book my car into a dealers for a bit of warranty work. This list is mostly the normal stuff I guess:

2nd to 3rd gear change,
faded badge,
yellowed paint protectors,
broken oil temp gauge,
broken cruise control,
inside front tyre wear,
flapping inside front left wheel arch,
noise at full lock

But when I spoke to the dealer I was told the badge, paint protectors & tyre alignment would not be covered by the warranty. Is this correct or should i argue the case?

The badge on my 159 was replaced under warranty (in the 3rd year) by Northgate AR in Kent when I showed them how badly faded it was. they had to replace the entire front grill as the badge cannot be replaced on its own. Tell the dealer the badge is what is the mark of the car and doesnt do the brand name any good if it look faded and jaded! Dont back down and pay for it. Also my tyre alignment was done when I told them about excessive wear on the inside edge of fronts, again for free. Not sure if general alignment is free.

Noise at full lock went away when they changed the power steering fluid to one of the correct spec. Some cars were incorrectly filled with the wrong fluid from new. search the threads for this topic and you will find plenty of info.

I think strictly the badge isn't covered so it's a matter of 'persuading' them it needs changing. The paint (non) protectors should be though surely?

If you do get anything cosmetic like badges and paint protectors changed, its a good will gesture.

Hi what garage did you go for? I'm also in Aberdeen and need warranty work done to a Guilietta.

I bumped into back of a car at 3mph and popped off the metallic grill with tiny crack in bumper in December. Would this void the warranty and should I fix this before I take it to garage for warranty work?

Work needing done:
Front windscreen washers not working
Cruise control dodgy
Stop engine thing doesn't work
Engine rattle when accelerating

Cheers in advance
