That's because it's a rubbish analogy, no one has ever come an offered people £400 for their Tyres for a new set of Acceleras, they just replace them when they wear out, either way, lots of people, looking at their brakes will put in the cheaper brand of pads, without a second thought, in fact, the majority of car owners have no idea which brand of pads their car has. How many people on here can honestly say they have used their brakes to the optimum.
Having a Ti, I have no doubt that the other versions have perfectly acceptable brakes, even if they are a little smaller.
Should I want to run my car to it's absolute maximum, worrying about the brakes over heating etc, then am sure I would invest in Drilled and grooved pads....but who does?
