Could anyone give me any info about the Brera 2.4 2006 model Deisel?
I currently have an Audit TT 225 Quattro, I am seriously thinking of having an ***** Romeo 2.4 Brera, the only trouble is that I have been hearing nothing but bad reports not good on fuel, very expensive to keep etc is this true?
There must be someone out there who currently has one of these car's who could put my mind at ease.
as a 2.4 Brera owner all I can tell you is GET ONE!!
Seriously, the fuel consumption is relative, I drive a mix of town traffic and motorway everyday, averaging 29 mpg (someone gets 31, but that's what the onboard computer is saying), or you can say that with circa £60 of diesel I get around 500 miles. Dunno what you get off your Audi, but I guess this will help you comparing the consumptions.
The car might have some flaws here in there, just like any other car really: some folks never had a single snag, some others had plenty of (I guess it all goes down to the guys at the assembly lines LOL), but anyway it's always something that the Alfa Romeo warranty will take care of. The warranty is probably the most important point: DON'T get one unless there's a full Alfa Romeo warranty on the vehicle! (This should be applied to every car you buy anyway LOL)
As for the rest, it's a front wheel drive car, so it handles a bit differently than your TT, and it might also feel a bit "heavier", but once you get used to all these little differences you'll love it for the style, performance and general feeling of cool Italian car, which stands 10 ft over its german counterparts, just because it's a gorgeous looking car
Looks over substance someone might say, and I think it's true, but hey what looks!!
