*bump of old thread*
i thought i'd update on the ITG carbon intake in my 3.2 159 Q4.
i'd previously reported a lack of change in induction noise, but i've since realise this was because i had all windows and SR closed, and stereo on (albeit low volume).
however, with either the SR or a window open, wide open throttle brings a snarly growl, albeit with a slight hollow resonant sound (no doubt due to the resonant nature of the carbon fibre unit). sounds very good, and no doubt even louder for bystanders.
but today, i had the equivalent of a Motor System Control Failure error! although by coincidence, last night the undertray hit heavily at low speed against a ridge when i entered someones driveway.
so when i had the MSCF today, i thought i caused some damage.
so i jacked the car up onto stands and removed the undertray. there was some minor indentation into the alloy section of the undertray, but that was all
the damage i could find. no damage to the lambda sensors or wiring, no hole ripped into the exhaust or cats. everything except the undertray was pristine.
i hooked up AlfaDiag tonight. it has limited diagnostics with the latest 3.2. there were 2 errror codes, one was a lambda sensor 'operating outside normal range'; the other code was listed but no explanation with it (AlfaDiag may not recognise this error). i figure if it's related to lambda sensors, then the emissions must be outside normal range, and the only thing i attribute to this is the ITG carbon fibre intake.
i cleared the errors, so all good again.
but has anyone else had error codes with the ITG or any other induction kit fitted to their (3.2 V6) car?
