2.4 JTDm Cooling System Problem

This is just in case you missed mention of this in the AO European Tour thread or the subsequent thread posted in the General Alfa Discussion section by a fellow 'Tour' participant.
http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/gener...ml#post2983919 (2.4 JTD - Please check.)

My dealer reckons that it is not a common fault in this country (although a couple of indies that I have spoken to both described it as "a known issue") and had to wait on the parts coming from Italy as there were none in stock at ARUK, but the dealer in Southern France that we visited on our trip was well aware of it and said that they replaced any plastic bleed valves that they found with the 'upgraded' metal ones as a matter of course.

Maybe my 'bad luck' was down to a combination of the high altitude and the engine (and thus the cooling system) being worked extremely hard on the mountain roads - who knows, but I still think that it wouldn't have happened if the part had been designed correctly from the outset.
