It was the 2.2JTS TI but pre-facelift
This is from one of his prior posts.

Drive both the petrol and the diesel, then make your choice. For me the diesel was much better. Saying that, in my next car I want a punchy turbo petrol.

I couldn't have a GT JTS. I had one as a loan car for a week and, although it was great fun on twisty roads, I was glad to hand the keys back. Even on short motorway journeys it made my ears bleed. It also doesn't feel as quick as the 1.9, which can be remapped.

As for the GT vs 159 I love them both, but if you have to live with a car over long distances there is no comparison. The 159 does feel heavier but it is quick across country and provides enough fun on the twisty bits, but is also supremely comfortable on long journeys. 159 for me, no contest.

Love the looks of the GT and would love a V6 but in my world the 159 makes perfect sense as a family car and also one I can enjoy on my own.

Member car:

GTV V6 3.0

the GT would be my personal choice, but that's because I think the 159 is a bit too long for me and do you need the extra doors? again I don't so 4 door cars are useless to me.

can't comment on how it drives though, driven the 2.2 brera S and though it was quite nice
