Okay. Cheers ikmt. I wonder if the Autodelta remap is as good as the Mangos mod in terms of performance gains?
P.S. I didn't realize you sold your Brera ikmt for a Beamer? Any reason/s in particular?[/QUOTE]
I researched on both the AD and Mango Mod 4 before deciding on the Mod4, mainly due to cost (took advantage of the Mango special offer last year - excellent value for money).
According to AD their remap offers a number of benefits including increased rev limit in the first gear, optimized can timing changes to further improve torque an bhp as well as a slight improvement in fuel consumption and their remap process seems more comprehensive than Mangos's fuel pressure adjustment, although Mango's MOD does include the air intake system, which cost extra and is a separate installation from AD. My impression on both and their reputation are favourable, so I think you would be satisfied with either.
Yes, I sold the Brera last month for a 335i M sport Touring, mainly becuase of the arrival of my son last October, I thought we could live with the Brera as a family car (I only have one car), but in reality the last 7 months has been challenging to say the least, try to accomodate the baby seat / pushchair / shopping and wife at the back, not to mention the access in the Brera. I tried to find a used 159 SW 3.2 Ti Qtronic for the last 5 months but not one becomes available in the UK. Reluctantly I expanded my search outside Alfa and the BM seems to tick most of the boxes - practical, sub M3 performance, easy to drive (by wife) and handles well for what it is, for sure I miss the Brera's styling and individuality but guess you cannot have everything.........
