It really depends on how much it costs and what it covers. You often find thatther are more things not covered than are.
The 4th Year AlfaCare Premier warranty is extremely comprehensive, just about as good as the 3rd Year dealer version. The premium for this varies from dealer to dealer (each adds there own 'mark up' on the policy), the cheapest premium quoted on here is £350. On average though expect to pay just under £400. The Tescos version is about the same price.
Obviously these warranties have to make money, therefore overall they payou less than they take in
Obviously. Car Care Plan is a business that needs to make profit. But the profit margin is geared to all policies issued, not on an individual basis. Premiums are priced on 'risk' and how 'risk averse' individual products may be.
The original warranty is subsidised by the price of the car. (also Alfa are supplying parts to themselves).
As far as the 3rd Year warranty is concerned indeed you must take your Alfa to any official Alfa Romeo dealership. However for the 4th year warranty you can take your Alfa to any VAT registered garage, as long as either genuine Alfa parts are used, or the equivalent in quality (whatever that means). Either way you do need to stick to the schedule service intervals though (which is fair enough).
Depends whether you're the sort of person who takes a raincoat out when it's sunny, or hopes it'll stay dry!
Invariably the frequency of rain tends to increase as your Alfa Romeo gets older
