Worlds apart in terms of customer service.
Had my first service yesterday at Platts in Stoke on Trent. I gotta say I have been really surprised at how the level of customer service varies between dealers. A couple of weeks ago I took my car to Mango's to have the mod 4 done and throughout the whole time was really looked after.... offered tea and coffee, when I got my car back they'd washed and vacuumed it and even put an Autoglym air freshner in there! Now in contrast Platts did none of this! Not only this but I'd raised a couple of issues that I wanted them to look at and this was there response...
Issue 1: Air con is not cold at all, so much so that my gfs Fiesta is twice as cold!
Dealer response: This is normal, the level of chill varies greatly between cars.
Issue 2: Really loud and annoying squeek from rear drivers wheel. When you hold and pull at the wheel it squeeks also.
Dealer response: This is normal and there is nothing we can do to get rid of it.
Obviously I am not going to accept this but after waiting 2 hours I wasn't in the mood for an arguement. My car is going back in a few weeks to get the drivers wing mirror replaced so will put my foot down then.
Am I wrong in expecting to be offered tea and coffee, my issues addressed and for my car to be washed before it is handed back to me? After 7 years and 3 new cars I am slowly starting to lose my patience with Alfa, friends of mine have Mini's and Honda's and are treated like royalty. I can see another fall out looming!
