2.4 JTDm cambelt change

Anyone heard of a change in schedule from 90k to 60k on the 2.4 JTDm engine?

I've got some body trying to knock my price down saying it 'Alfa' have revised the schedule to 60k and he' have to get it done straight away.

The book says five years or 150,000 klms ( 90,000 miles ) and I have personally received emails back from "my" dealer in confirmation of this.

Officially, not as far as I am aware, although I would recommend changing the belt early if you are out of the warranty period, as the waterpumps are known for seizing and snapping the cambelts. If you are out of warranty and the cambelt does snap, Alfa won't give you a bean, even if you are within the official change interval of 5 years and 90k miles. We've seen this time and time again on the 1.9 16v JTD engines, which share the same dodgy waterpump as the 2.4 20v engines.
