As six of you have PM'd me to ask who the mapper was, I may as well publish it. It was Angel.
In defence, I found them very efficient and courteous, and the refund and standard map was no charge/no argument - albeit they didn't test the car after removing the map. (I wish I'd insisted..... )However, it left me with a DPF issue (solved) and what looks like an EGR issue. I will know more after it has been to the garage.
Many posters on here have been happy with Angel's work, so this may be a one off. Earlier in my posts, I mentioned that I'd had very good recommendations from other non-Alfa tuners for AlfaTune and Novitec, so I wouldn't want my post to read as a 'remapping is bad' post.
Redlake - Sorry to hear you are still having problems. I got mine done at AHM today. Bit of a trek for me but I must say Adrian Hawkins is a thoroughly nice guy, and he really knows his stuff.
Although I would like to wait a few more days before giving a full review of the AHM remap, what I will say is that initial impressions are good, and the drive home on the M3 and M25 was great - the computer was showing better MPG, and the 70 to 90 acceleration (in 5th or 6th gear) was defininitely more speedy..
