I've been in two minds about posting this since Friday
mama and I went to test drive a V6 Brera S. "Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat" I hear you all shout.
It was lovely. Super cool. Fantastic sound. Handled brilliantly. Got a great deal offered to us. Brilliant price, brilliant trade in on the Lusso.
It wasn't quick enough
Compared to the conservatively mapped 2.4 diesels we currently have, the V6 has about 5 more horses and an ocean less torque. I really really wanted to love this car. I wanted to say "I'll have it, give me the keys, I'm taking it home now". But I couldn't do it
It just didn't feel quick enough, no matter how much I revved the nuts off it. Yes, the noise was glorious but I wanted the kick in the nuts shove of torque that I'm used to.
I'm so disappointed
Mind you, the ti is lovely and shiny post its first service and goes like a rocket. So, it's not all bad
And the Lusso makes us smile with its refined ride and elegant looks. Definitely not bad at all
Maybe we'll get a Brera once the TB petrol engines have ironed out their inevitable flaws.
