Did the battery recover after a run?
I don't know if they had a duff batch of batteries, but I have just had a similar experience with the '08 Lusso I bought last week.
The car had been owned by Alfa as a fleet demonstrator and has 5k on it. I drove it home from the dealership and spent the pm setting the menus and tuner. Didn't use it next day, and on the day after it let me in, but just went "NUUH!" when the button was pushed.
Nothing had been left on.
The AA turned up and condemned the battery - 12v with no load, 10v when the door was opened, 5v when the keyblock was put in the dash.
The dealer changed the battery without question, based on the AA report.
I'm guessing that the 5k was done fairly quickly and the car has sat in an Alfa compound for a while. No idea if the dealer had to charge the battery before handover (I didn't even bother asking the question!).
L-A batteries don't like inactivity, but 3 weeks at 1 yr old? As far as I can tell, the alarm should be the only active component.... Tuner left on with auto switch-off not set (00mins)?
