Word of advice on used 159 keyfob's
My 159 stalled on a busy roundabout today, thought it was me until I tried to restart the engine - no joy, tried a few times still no joy taking the keyfob out ect. very embarrassing.
Thoughts of Top Gear and J. Clarkson saying great car but it brakes down sprung to mind.
Anyway I was lucky that the wife was in the car with me so tried her keys and the car started no problem as usual. I guess the battery in the key fob just ran out juice. I presume theres a way of resolving this with taking the mechanical key part out of the fob, but at that time I didnt know what to do.
Do I have to buy a new keyfob or can the battery be replaced? Also should it be covered under warranty if under 3 years?
