Diff replaced; bearing "fixed". Unfortunately this hasn't made any difference. I'm no mechanic so the following may make no sense, but as I understand it: the bearing at the end of the prop shaft is faulty (this is the one they had re-machined) and this had already damaged the diff by causing it to lock when the propshaft flexes. They were hoping that the bearing being re-machined would solve it but it hasn't. Alfa don't supply just the bearing and are suggesting that the whole propshaft needs replacing. BUT- they aren't sure and I've now run out of time this side of Christmas so car booked back in for early January. Patience expiring!
