Wipers - Water blowing out from under.
Ever since my 159 was new I noticed that when I used the windscreen washer and the wipers had returned to the rest position, water was blowing up under the blade on the driver's side. It would then flow out sideways at each end of the wiper and then flow up the windscreen, leaving annoying marks when it dried.
For a while I put this down to a design flaw, then it occurred to me that the reason this was happening could be because the wiper was sitting too high, and that if it were to sit lower, it would be below the lip of the bonnet and the water would not be pushed up by the airflow.
It is a very simple job to remove the arm and replace it having rotated it a few notches further round the shaft - being careful to ensure that it still clears the bonnet.
And immediately the problem was cured. Posting this in case anyone else has the same problem.
