Looks like I picked up a slow puncture
- was out in the car Friday evening, went out Sat PM and tyre completely flat. Inflated to 2.5 bar, goes completely flat in 18 hours.
Same thing happened a year or so ago with our (ahem) X-Type, and the nice lads at Universal just 'fixed it' with some goo (that got all over the wheel and car as well!). I was skeptical but it's still running that same tyre (tread is fine, it doesn't do too many miles these days) without any problem.
So... question is would I trust that with the Spider's tyre, any thoughts on that??
And if not, and I end up replacing the tyre, two more questions:
- do I really have to replace both rears at the same time (I've always replaced both ends of an axle at once as it's good practice, but at £200+ a tyre that's pretty scary). The car's done 6,000 miles from new and the tread looks good (no sign of uneven wear, or any significant wear come to that).
- what's the cheapest price anyone's found for these tyres? (I know there's been some fairly forthright discussion on this, but I'd like to stick with the original spec PZero Nero 235/40 19).
