Re: 159 JTDM Remap and insurance impact....
Thanks for the reply. I think i will go ahead with angel tuning. As the car is on lease i cant afford for things to start going wrong after the remap because it may void the warranty. However angel tuning will come out and do it for 275, a discount price for NHS workers, they promised that they will erase and reinstall for free but will charge a fee of 50 quid to come out to me.
I know that red dot are another recommended company have got an alfa day for 180 quid, but london is a bit to far. also if i want the map erased dont know what they do or charge to come out to me.
I found Nigel at angel tuning very helpful and took the time to reply to my emails personally and gave courtesy call all of which impressed me and something im will to pay for as it gives peace of mind.
I have had the car for a week and clocked 500 miles by taking it on a weekend break to wales. Love the cars individuality and looks. So few of them about. Ive only seen 3 159 in last 4 weeks and no TI versions, and only one brera, the beast was behind me and that mean looking front was taking up the whole view in my rear view mirror.
Thanks again for you reply. The only thing holding me back is the car has very few miles and i wanted to get an idea of the true mpg. secondly im not usually heavy footed but i really feel the performance doesnt do justice to the styling. you could argue i should have gone for the 2.4, i say no, why when the BMW 320 d/AUDI A4 2.0 tdi can do it shouldnt the alfa
