Hi ceeteex, welcome to the site
Well hopefully I can answer all your points and if not feel free to send me a PM
I have a 2.2JTS Limited Edition Spider (the first Alfa I've owned ... my dad used to have lots tho ... and my first convertible) ... the LE came with 19' wheels, blue&me (worth getting), leather interior (worth getting at least for resale) and heated and electric adjust seats (heated seats are great for winter roof down driving ... well you'll need a warm coat, scarf and hat too)
So far I've done about 15k in it since June last year, I drive about 30mile each way to work down A roads and Motorway and I've averaged 28-29mpg. As SR says unlike previous Alfas these don't seem to use oil if they've been run in properly (yes I still run-in cars for at least 1000miles) ... so far I've had to put only a litre of oil in. as is also mentioned above the engine considerably improves in response after about 10k miles on the clock
I've had a couple of problems with the car about a couple of weeks into ownership, but it was all sorted by the dealer and hasn't spoilt my enjoyment of the car.
My car does have a slight hesitation issue in first gear ... but I've learnt to be aware of it and so it doesn't bother me anymore
As I said I use it every day ... it's my only car ... it sits outside my flat uncovered in all weathers ... driving it in the winter wasn't a problem the roof is a multilayer job and is very good quality and so once the heater has warmed up it's pretty much like any car in the winter ... rear quarter visibility is rubbish with the roof up because of the roof ... but the mirror has the modern 'split' in it and so there are no major blindspots ... tyre wear is an often reported problem, but I've had no issues ... I changed my fronts at 11.5k which for me was good milage and they had even wear all across the tread.
So as to your final questions ... are there any reasons why I wouldn't buy one again ? NO ... would I buy one again ? Definitely YES !
Once you own one you'll realise how many admiring glances it gets ...
As to the feeling you get when driving it ... well it always puts a smile on my face
