Re: Question about 18" Pirelli's PZERO's
Firstly, take the car to a tyre garage and get them to check the front wheel alignment - tell them to set the front tyres to parallel (zero toe). A lot of cars of this generation came out with a different toe setting that scrubs the inside edge of the tyres way too early.
Secondly, the 2.4 does tend to eat tyres due to high weight at the front and loads of torque - I'd say 10,000 at the front is doing well? A 2.4 driver will be along shortly...
Rear tyres... maybe 20,000 miles with luck?
Cost per tyre for the correct size (235 x 45 R18 I believe) is around £185.
A highly recommended alternative is the Vredstein Ultrac Sessanta, which is cheaper, quieter, has good grip, and was designed by Giugiaro, who designed the Brera!
Oh yeah, best to make sure you get the EXACT tyre size (including width and cross section) when replacing or your insurance is most likely invalid.
