Just been mooching around the 159 forum as I quite fancy one at some point....but...there seem to be a number of issues cropping up that I find worrying. This being one of them. If there is much relative movement between the screen seal and the body, then the paint and body preotection is going to get worn away once grit gets washed into the gap, quickly followed by rust and the good old days of other FIAT group cars and huge rust holes around screens.
The relative movement suggests the shell isn't as stong as it should be either and it's twisting and flexing rather too much perhaps??
I appreciate that there will always be some movement, but this doesn't sound good to me.
Like I say....worrying. ...and I so want to try out a 159 too. Surely the epitomy of Alfa ownership!
