Windows open on a 159

My alfa still under warranty is going back to the dealer next week to sort out some issues (one of them being a faint vibration from the front doors).

Can 159 owners please tell me how their doors sound when they close them with the windows in the fully down position.

I tried it with mine and it sounds absolutely awful, like really shoddy / cheap manufacturing and if a strong wind or an angry wife slammed the door the glass inside would shatter. Like if there was nothing holding it in place while itís down.
With the windows in the fully up position and you close the doors it sounds perfectly normal and rigid manufacturing.

Is this just my 159 or are they all like this?

Definitely clunky and solid.

Good luck with getting that sorted out, they won't have a clue.

Yep, as solid and clunky as when the windows are up. That doesn't sound right at all. Good luck

Re: Windows open on a 159

Haven't closed mine whilst the windows were open but I'm gonna have a listen now and I'll let you know.

I did have a door rattle which made the car sound very poorly put together when closing the doors, but having recently had my door realigned the whole car sounds and feels more solid. Almost as if the vibrations from the door were affecting the whole car.

Hope you get this sorted.

With the window open, mine don't sound as solid as when the window is shut, but that's not a big deal is it ?

It's been the same on all cars I have owned.
