Re: Unknown Warning
I have had this EXACT thing on my wifes' 08 Spider LE. It's like a little pipette with a drop underneath it - NOT an oil can. Doesn't match up to anything in the book (and has not come on again in months).
HR Owen think the light may have been programmed on swiss models or some other European models?!? Perhaps our limited edition models ('LE' and 'S') may have come from batches that were programmed with slightly different symbols from normal UK symbols due to being early on in their production runs/using European/foreign ECU data? This might explain why my wife's car has no hesitation issue either... does yours have hesitation, Stealth?
HRO reckon re-flashing the ECU will replace the warning light with the correct warning light, but there's no prob at the mo so I'm not bothering.
No one is certain what that warning light was, but it may be oil level. I believe it came on on a slight uphill slope shortly after being used, switched off and switched on again, though the wife was a bit hazy about the details. If this is the case then it was probably just low oil in the sump due to it mostly being up in the engine due to recent use. I checked the oil the next morning and it was fine.
In what circumstances did yours come on, Stealth?
