Well I have just received my car back from the guys over at HR Owen and so far so good - everything seems to be working nicely.
Owning this spider has been, on occasions, somewhat frustrating, what with the 'teething problems' that I have had with it. It's easy to complain (and maybe rightfully so) when things break and easier still to remind yourself that Alfas have 'character' and live up to that expectation with regularity. Likewise, once things have been put back to 'how they should be' it's easy to forget the problem ever occured...
With that in mind, I'd just like to say
1. A big thank you for Jamie Steel at ARUK who saw this thread, did his detective work, got in contact with me and got things moving with HR Owen without me even having to have a rant at anyone.
2. A big thank you to Dan Childs and Richard at HR Owen for understaning my frustration with the repeating fault, collected the vehicle, kept me up to date with the progress on the repair, returned the vehicle and even allowed me the opportunity to show off a lovely red Mito to the Eastend of London for a brief while.
Without labouring the point too much, I think it's worth noting here that whilst we do give ARUK and the dealer network a hard time, this is indicative that things are changing for the better.
For those interested, the loom and the body computer was replaced to correct the fault.
