Yes, I agree with Chipmik. Maybe he should try it again and see if there's no other errors like a MAF malfunction, it can increase a lot the fuel consumption. I can even say that if your friend has a FAP, some boxes can damage it in order to cause obstruction and forcing even more the engine and aswell high consumes. I've already took off the CAT, FAP and put a blind plate in the EGR, so I can put the boxe without problems, I presume.
My case is particulary because I really don't want to remap, I'm in Switzerland and here we have periods inspections wich they can see through the gases if the car has the right standard values. I want a little bit more extra power (159 sportwagon is a heavy in my point of view and it has no agility like a my ex 156 2.4 JTD) but something that I can remove easly without more costs. So I think the box is a perfect choise for what I want even so, I really don't believe in so much hight HP, maybe more 30hp/50Nm or 50hp/80Nm maximum already with those mechanics upgrades that I've made.
Meanwhile, I've already choose the box from Italianspeed (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chip-tunin...item43b99a0585
), cheap, adjustable and good performance annonced. I hope the best, I'll see and post the feedbacks after finish mounting and test it.
By the way, can anyone tell me wich cable OBD1/OBD2 that works with my GTV '98 V6 Turbo and 159 '06 2.4 JTDm 200hp? I'd like to buy a cable like EML327, KKL, etc.. But it should be able to write, read and scan/diagnostic by the OBD1 and OBD2 ports, compatible with FiatEcuScan program and others like that. Those specifications are very importants, it's not destinated to do remaps but clear errors. However, if I need to buy a cable and spend some money, I'd like to buy one wich is complete and able to do everything!
Thanks in advance!
