Re: Idle curiosity 159ti to Brera SV6
I used an official approved alfa dealership to service and maintain my car for about 2-3 years.
They were completly useless(will happily go into detail) and ridiculously overpriced. (85 pound per hour labour costs). I now drive my car to a small local independent mechanic to do the work because he is infanitly more knowledgable on the car, he does better quality work and more thorough servicing, and he is about 1/3 of the price.
"No, that's exactly the point of the 8C - most Ferrari owners can't afford an F40 / F50 / Enzo, most Porsche owners can't afford a Carrera GT, most Lamborghini owners can't afford a Reventon. They're halo cars, the almost-unattainable best that the brand has to offer.
There is no in between with alfa though. And its going to cost them. Whats the point in producing an awsome stunner like the 8C and only make 500 of them. For it only to be an enigma rather than something to geuinly aspire to get. Alfa are the poor mans ferrari. Trying to build something so riduclously rare and expensive to prove a point, might indeed prove their point, but the company is cutting of its balls to spite its face etc....
