From the brief look I had around the car there are a few things wrong with it already... Now I know that can be the case for any car, and they can be rectified before collection, but why doesn't the flippin dealer sort them before they advertise them for sale!
I mean it's not rocket science to prep a car and make it the best it can look before you show a prospective punter! rant over lol...
I think i'll see what else comes up... Maybe an 08 plate if I keep looking
I really like them too (well all Alfas if i'm honest )
But the GT diesel is only the 1.9, and while it's a cracking engine once mapped and free flowed (200+bhp and 390lbft ish) with great mpg, I quite liked the idea of the larger 5 cylinder 2.4, as it has scope easily to reach circa 248bhp with massive torque increases while still reaching low 40's mpg...
So in theory it should be fast and economical... I suppose the Spider stole my heart in the looks stake! Roof off motoring when the opportunity arises is a winner... Afterall there's not many convertables where blokes don't look gay driving them hahah... but I think the Spider pulls it off
I'm not really a massive fan of any convertible, but a Spider is alot less gay than most others. Only the S2000 holds the 100% non-gay vote in my book though because it's ONLY available with 240BHP. Unlike TT's or Spider's which have 'noncy' outputs also, Meaning they fall into the category of being a bit girly.
Love the way you've gone with power over everything else though, good man, Spider it is I reckon,
Yeah I agree with the engineering... as they are superb to drive, with great feedback, and tail out action when you give it beans!
But I can't say i'm particularly inspired by there designs though! I think the problem is, that they've become the modern day 'Ford clitoris'...as in every ***ts got one! Where I work we have nearly 4000 staff, and when you look around the car park, all you see is 3+5 series, Audi A4 and C class Merc! It makes me think to myself that these people should have a personality and be individual!
I reckon I could drive 200 miles to work then park up and not see another Spider!! How cool is that!
Very. That's why I have bought the cars I've bought, because they are fairly rare and different.
I've had a bunch of 156's, a GTV, a Fiat Coupe, a Mitsubishi Galant (Saw ONE other saloon when I had mine!), and now the XJS. People may say it's a bag of old crap but at least I have a personality unlike every tw@t at work who has either a BMW, a Ford, or a Honda,
