You might have noticed my short informal running report on the Ti in my sig.
Well, heart sank slightly at 7am today as I got into her outside the hotel in Livingston in anticipation of a nice spirited drive back across country and on back to Manchester for an 11am meeting.
Why? Well the car started but the EOBD light came on and a warning to have the engine checked.
The manual suggested it was OK to drive and it wasn't misfiring so I set off tentatively but it seemed to drive OK, maybe a tad down on power but I was accelerating slowly just in case.
Got her onto the M8/M74 and cruised fine at 65. Called Mango's - Paul was pleasant and helpful, told me not worry but bring it in and it was safe to go quicker if the car will let me. It might clear if I switched off and on again after a break. It hadn't done at the hotel after 30 secs running though.
I stopped at the next services and it was still there so I carried on at 60-65 just to be safe.
Anyway, I [I]needed[I] another break an hour later and *Ta-Da!* it was clear when I came out.
I'm at Mango's now as Paul suggested it be better to still run the diagnostics and clear the fault rather than leave it in the memory.
The car ran fine and didn't let me down so not a "breakdown" or major problem. I got out of a really dull, long meeting
and I'm relaxing with a coffee at Mango's now so does it count as a "niggle". I don't want to put any black marks against my Bella but I must be honest.
