Apparently you can get an "Electrovane du Dephaseur" for a Renault. People who have installed one say that their verdict of the installation is that it is "Incorporated by Renault and it purrs in silence" Apparently it's "Gaston friendly" too!
Don't know what it is but I want one!!! Cheap too!
The longer pulse of the 58th. slot allows the ECU to identify this, as the reluctor changes the magnetic field of the sensor, creating an induced voltage pulse.ECU is enabled to determine the orientation at all times.Googled It? Din' I? Jokin' of course.

Agree with alfa GJ. : At least I think I do If my old memory recall is not too fragmented, I remember when I first started using AO, I asked why I had the Kangarooing effect on the 147 Selespeed. Received a most helpful reply but decided there and then, my role on AO would be rather more subdued, so aked very few questions after that, if any at all. Head down, 'And read up boy!!' I say's to myself.:
Had the Sele' for about four years in total, and apart from the glitch of kangarooing when she was cold, no more problems. AO has been most informative, and definitely terrific fun, over the two plus years I have been here. Guess I will eventually be involuntarily pensioned off though me' thinks?
