.......at the excellent Intaservices in Leicester (see full write up on page 10 of the Independent Garage Recommendation sticky in GAD).
Following the lack of clarity around the newer car's service schedule, I decided to get it done at just over 12 months & 13k miles following what I found & posted here
It consisted of - new oil (Selenia STAR), oil filter (one of GM's but twice the price in an Alfa box) and pollen filter plus everything checked, tested & re-set of the service reminder came to very reasonable £143.
This includes the best part of a 2 litre can of STAR for topping up purposes or for use at the next service (making it cheaper
A dealer will charge you £260 for the same service
They also found some rust
on my year old car
) around the rear lifting points so Dave air blasted them dry and applied a copious amount of a combined rust killer & sealer (like Waxoil).
As you can imagine I was a bit shocked at this as it's only ever been lifted there by the two dealers that have had it in for warranty work or at the pre-PDI at the docks.
The protective coating around the points has been penetrated / worn away
The front points were the same but not as bad & no rust but they got treated just the same as to play it safe.
I've attached some phone pics of the damage but I'll stick some better ones up when I get them emailed through to me
Overall, Intaservices 10/10
Great job but a bit peed off that us Brits have to have a service done that no one else has to until 18k miles
