OK. Possible humble pie time here
Just looked again at my service & warranty book (effective 1/1/07) and on page 18 under the heading of Service Intervals
"Your vehicle's maintenance programme is based on clearly defined mileage intervals every 12,00 / 18,000 miles. For customers covering less than 12,000 / 18,000 miles during the course of a 12 month period there is a minimum service requirement in the form of a low mileage annual service. Both services have a 1 month / 1000 mile tolerance either side of the anniversary date of first registration".
On the preceding page (17) under the heading of Notice to owners
"The following service schedules are specific to UK vehicles and may differ from those contained in the Owner's Handbook".
Looks like us UK owners are getting stiffed again
However, on page 23 under the title of Low Mileage Annual Service
and at the foot of the page in small writing it says:-
"Note: Low mileage means below 6,000 miles (except Alfa 159 & Brera where low mileage means below 9,000 miles".
So, and to counter what I posted earlier in the week, most definitely contradictory & ambiguous:
Looks like I need to get on the blower to my nearest local independent (Intaservices in Leicester) and get my car booked in for next Saturday
Saying that, the oil looks well black at 13,300 miles so can't be a bad thing I suppose.
