I took the Brera for the first service today at 11200 miles, when the car was ready and I was presented with the bill I noticed that no oil or oil filter was changed, when I questioned that I was told that they only change the oil and filter when the oil light comes on the dash display.
I asked the lady at the reception if I could have requested oil and filter change this time and she said yes, but obviously I was not aware of the light on the dash.
So what did I get for £184.20?
One pollen filter one air filter and that is it, unbelievable!!!
The fanny thing was that when I called to book the car in, the lady at the dealership told me the manufacturer recommended a engine flush on the first service, and I declined to have that done.
I wonder what would have happened if I had said yes to the engine flush, would have they put back the old oil and filter until the light came back on the dash?.
That just shows how incompetent some of the people at the dealerships are.
I expect the oil light to come on any time now so I will have to go back to dealer for oil and filter change and more labour expense.
So the moral of the story is when you take your brera in for the first or second service ask for an oil and filter change, it will save you time and money in the long run.
