I've been wondering whether to post this for a while, but after being comprehensively beaten away from the lights by a SsangYong 4x4 today, I felt moved to type!
For a while, I have been suspicious that the Brera 2.4 JTDM really is not that quick. In fact, I might even go as far as to say my car is really quite slow.
Before I get flamed, I realise it's a GT not a hot hatch, and I am not expecting tarmac-rippling acceleration, but it seems most cars are more than a match for mine.
For example, my wife drives a Golf Mk.5 2.0 TDi in 140bhp guise. It is fair to say that the Brera is of no concern to it, with the Golf easily pulling out a lead when accelerating, and even with the speed increasing the Brera is unable to catch up.
Combined with the fuel consumption, this is not heartening. Any experiences?
I think I am going to put the car on a rolling road and also I am seriously considering the P-Box (Alfa Romeo Tuning UK - Auto Lusso - Tuning and aftermarket add-ons for your Alfa Romeo
) from AutoLusso. I know there are other approaches, but the warranty does attract me...
