Re: Brera S comes last in a group test
Stop, stop, stop all this performance talk! Yes, Alfa has a 'sporting' history to live up to, but in the 21st century with its rubbish roads, speed cameras and rising petrol costs, where - and how often - can you actually go that fast?
Maybe - just maybe - Alfa has made the perfect car for 2008; I'm sure a german car can hit sixty quicker and go faster than a Brera...but where? when? on what road, without being fined or taxed into the next century? A Brera, at 10mph or 110mph, is a lovely car (so too is a 159); an uber fast, boring German only has 'speed' as its core appeal, which is ironically the least desirable quality of any car in 2008. Brera - and its beauty - proves slow and mega chilled is the new cool.
Breras 'get' the world today; and there's no car cooler.
Even in the darkest hour, love comes shining through.
Then it doesn't seem so far from me to you.
