Am looking at replacing the front passenger tyre (Pirelli P-Zero Nero 235/45 18') for the third time, although first time was because of nasty puncture, on my 159 1.9 Jtdm due to tyre wear on the inside. I've had the same problem on the front driver tyre, but that tyre wore out a 14 months ago, so just changing the front passenger this time.
However, at £202 (best price fully fitted from Wembley Tyres in London) for just the one tyre, quite expensive.
So my questions and request for help is:
1. If I went for equivalent Michelin or other brand tyres for just the front passenger, will that be a problem given that the driver side will still be a Pirelli?
2. Having read Kandlbarrett's helpful review on wheel alignment, is it worth going for and if so, can anyone recommend someplace in the West London area?
I have low mileage (about 17K since 2008) so this is quite frustrating. Thanks for any advice and best wishes for Christmas.
