Just as a positive note, maybe, picked up my 159 at the weekend, a 1.9jtdm Tourismo (ah the shame of base spec...) and the fronts on mine are worn perfectly evenly across the entire tyre, front and back.
The previous owner did change them at approx 15K intervals, but doing the company mileage he was doing I am not suprised.
At 2 years old it has 60K miles exactly. Ouch. But I couldn't tell. Body, fittings, trim, engine, brakes and feel perfect to me.
It may have something to do with the fact that the car has 16" alloys, I think I read that these wear better/slower?
There are about 3/4mm left across the width of each front, they are Pirelli P7s. The rears have a Bridgestone on, not sure of the model, but they seem almost new after 5K miles.
However, I would like a set of 17s in the near future, look so much better with the shape of the car and th ewider wheel arches, but will have to think twice now!
Loving the forum. Lots of enthusiastic and passionate people, keeping our wheels turning.
