Re: 159 / Brera / Spider tyre wear issues - VIP - Revised Information
Another theory. Firstly I apologise if this has idea has been raised before but I did a search and could find no previous refences to what I'm about to put forward.
Firstly a bit of preamble - I have posted on the thread before; saying that I have been pleased with tyre wear on my 1.9 SW - 30k on the original 18" Pirelli P Zero Neros, even wear across all fou and now a further 14k of even wear on the the replacements - again Pirelli P Zero Neros.
Last night Ion hearing that the M25 was at a standstill, I decided to take a cross-county route from Welwyn Garden City to home in Gloucestershire. Not the best idea I've had but that's another story.
What I did notice as I passed through a number of towns was the number of "speed cushions" and the fact that they seemed to be just wide enough to catch the inner half of my front tyres and I could imagine the bevelled edges trying to push my front suspension out of alignment.
Now, where I live, although the roads are pretty cr*p, I'm lucky not to have to put up with these abominations euphamistically termed speed cushions and, thinking back, rarely come across them.
My question/theory then is; does the problem of inner tyre wear have any correlation to the number of speed cushions that the owner has had to encounter in their daily commute?
