Didn't intend it to be a negative opinion as there were many positives about Alfa dealers, the look of the car and other Alfa/non-German options. We may be splitting hairs but the road holding was excelllent with the handling being less so. An extreme, and I accept unfair, comparison is a Lotus which has both. Disagree re the £300 a month. I ran the car through the business and once you factor in £1,000 for 4 tyres at 12,000 miles (geometry c--p back and front) and 25mpg it becomes as expensive as many other cars. Boils down to personal priorites. On a sunny day it had the "feel good" factor. As a driver's car, which Alfas can and should be, it is a duffer.
At the time I also had a Citroen C6 on some stupidly good pcp deal from Citroen (£320 a month/18k miles a year). It was a stupidly good deal as the car surpassed all expectations, including overall running costs, for a big car.
New Giulietta will hopefully be a cracker and good pcp deals abound.
