Re: "Temporary" Hood Failure?
Un-freakin'-believable part two. Just had a call from Perry's asking if we'd had a call from ARUK yet (not a good sign). As it happens my wife had picked up a voicemail from the ARUK guy but hasn't yet been able to get through to him.
So basically Perry's tell me it's had its motors changed again, yesterday, and they've been testing it since, and it hasn't gone wrong again. Basically, I can go and pick it up, but he recommended I wait until we've spoken with ARUK.
The reason is that the AR technicians that were sent to fit the motors and check it all works think it's not fixed for good and that it'll fail again, but they can't explain why - except to say they've been speaking to AR in Italy asking for 'uprated' motors.
Apparently, that might take a while for them (AR Italy) to even consider the idea, let alone send anything. Added to which as I've said before, given it's already had new motors twice, and the problem reoccurs, isn't it possible it's not the motors at fault??
