I have a slight problem and was wondering if anyone else has come across it.
I have an Alfa 159 JTD 1.9 Auto.
From a standing position with foot on the brake you rapidly slide the foot over and accelerate hard - like you've been waiting for a gap in traffic and you've dived for a small one.
There is a pause of probably a second or 2 then the acceleration comes in slowly, and once the revs build a little it takes off nicely.
Oddly, if I take my foot of the brake without accelerating there is that same pause delay before the car then starts the usual "auto foot of the brake creep".
Now if I wait for this pause to go and the car to start creeping then whack the foot down hard the car shoots away.
I mentioned this to Alfa last time I was there and was told this was normal for the 1.9 turbo diesel auto.
It still seems a little odd, as I don't recall this from the test drive, and as I don't often have to shoot of rapidly I hadn't really noticed when it started, but now that I am aware I see it all the time.
The car goes in for it's first (15,000km) service in a week or so, and I don't know if I should push this point.
