Brera Manual v Automatic

Hi guys.

Was wondering what the consensus is out there in regards to the Manual and Auto versions of the Brera.

Is the Auto reliable and glitch free? I know the selespeeds on the 156 and 147 were prone to problems. And a hefty repair bill to boot.

An Alfa mechanic in Sydney told me the auto on the Brera is quite good.

Tossing up which one to get.

Re: Brera Manual v Automatic

The automatics in the Brera should be fine. Its the same/similar transmission made by Aisin of Japan that is used by many other manufacturers including VW, Audi, Saab, Opel, etc. The Selespeed was an automated manual based on an existing Fiat Group gearbox and is a totally different type of transmission.
