Brera 2.2 JTS "hisses" in the morning!
I'm a newbie on this forum. I've found the info from all the threads invaluable in my decision to buy a Brera over a GT. I previously had a 156 before silly business miles gave the need for diesel Vectra! Now firmly back in the fold as I'm not doing the mileage any more. When it came down to deciding what car to go for it simply had to be an Alfa again!
I took delivery of my 56 plate Brera 2.2JTS on Friday. The car is senstational and I'm slowly getting used to the well documented "hesitation" problem, adjusting my driving style accordingly. The car doesn't half shift and I'm surprised by the amount of power the car has.
Anyway, I have a question about a characteristic my car seems to have, especially in the morning. When starting the car, and pulling off, it sometimes feels like it is going to stall before making a couple of sharp hissing sounds, like some air is being expelled. I have put this down to either the air con or power steering.
Has anyone else had this problem or is this a common characteristic of the car? Or maybe its something I should get checked out?
