Also having problems with my 2.4 jtdm 210 alfa 159
You guys are writing really interesting things.
I'm from south Netherlands and my alfa also has a problem. When I start her cold like this morning, she kinda tries a few times to stay at normal idle rpms but rpms fall down almost to shutting down point just to be picked up again. Without ever touching the gas pedal. After a few runups, engine calms down and runs nice and smooth. Starting the engine hot does not have this effect.
Also, when cruising at higher speed on a highway it behaves strangely. I think one of you guys mentioned this few pages earlier. For example - I run 160km/h in 6th gear. I punch the gas pedal all the way down. Engine sound goes deeper but not actually accelerating as it should and rpm dial shows fluctuation in rpms without significant speed change. I don't believe it is the clutch slipping as it pulls like crazy if I punch it in third gear...
What do you guy think - would DPF/EGR remap help on this one? What about eco-test during cechnical exam of the car? Will she pass it with those things remapped?
Thanks for any opinion!
