OK I'm going to update my previous comments re More Than! When I got the paperwork through they'd got 6 claims listed on the schedule (there should only be 3, and only 1 of those is a 'fault' claim). They'd basically keyed in each one twice. So I called up to ask them to correct it, and they told me that would mean the premium would *increase* by *£140*!!!
Clearly that makes no sense at all, so I asked for an explanation but was told I couldn't get one because it was "locked". In the end, they told me to go back online and enter the correct information (just like I did in the first place) and buy it online, then call up and cancel the policy I bought last week. Obviously, the selling me a new policy worked OK (although of course I haven't seen the new paperwork yet so I don't know for sure!), but they now tell me they can't cancel and refund the other policy because it's "locked". And no, they still can't tell me what that means...
So now I'm out of pocket £339 (went for a lower excess than the £327 quote) and have no idea whether I now have a proper policy in place, with the existing insurance running out on Thursday.
Next year, I will not be insuring either car with More Than. I'd rather pay a bit more and save what's left of my sanity!
