Re: The latest 159 advertisement
I'm afraid it's still very true - the add is spot on.
The 159 is still not a tempting enough proposition, and won't tick the boxes for me where my GTA does.
I'm quite sure that all the things being said about how the 159 and that the MY08 159 will be so much better, were said about the 156.
I think it's more hit and miss with Alfa's - and sadly to say I think Alfa's are more trouble than other cars.
My thoughts are that, yes you will get a 3 series with problems, but as so many are sold the problems and subsequent resolutions are well known and put right back at the factory. Also Alfa's are notoriously harder to work on, I firmly believe that when something is fixed, something else gets "messed up". All of this leaves us end Alfa drivers with a car that can just end becoming a headache to own.
I love Alfa's and Italian cars, they are so in my soul. My GTA's have been the best and worst car's I've ever owned. My current GTA has been great for 2 years, and now in the last 7 months spent almost 7 weeks in the garage.
I'll keep the GTA, but am considering buying another (mainstream) car and treating the GTA as a toy, because I'm losing faith in it.
If there was a 159 that could replace my GTA, I'd buy it, but if it were in Audi RS4 territory (in terms of price), I'd sadly purchase the RS4, just because I think when you come to spending that level of money, my head might start to rule my heart.
