I have been experiencing power loss below 2000 rpm for the last couple of weeks and also occasional short blips when doing 40 to 50 mph, mine is a 57 plate 159 1.9. My daily commute is only about 7 miles each way with about 4 miles on motorway at 70 mph on a good day! I think a blast on the motorway one lunchtime is in order.

if your only doing 7 miles, your car wont get up to temperature to trigger the regen. Warm the car up and then once its up to temperature take it for a blast down the motorway above 2500 rpm for about 15 mins. keep it in 4and 5th gear and keep your trip computer on showing current mpg. you will see the Mpg drop when the regen starts, keep driving above 2500 rpm until the mpg returns to normal level. the car will drive a whole lot better once its completed the regen.

Just suffered with this over the weekend, couldn't get the car off the drive it wouldn't rev.
Mechanic came and blocked off egr, car goes perfect , going to get egr blanked properly and deleted this week.
